Compared to the later 1960s models, the 1959 Les Paul Standard offers all the benefits that are likely to be of particular interest to vintage enthusiasts: In detail, the mahogany body features a maple top with a stylish AAA-grade curly maple veneer, whose grain is skilfully highlighted by the Golden Poppy Burst finish. The mahogany neck features the 1959 Rounded "C" medium neck profile, whilst the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with classic mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays completes the legendary vintage look. At the heart of the Epiphone 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue are two original Gibson Custom Bucker pickups in the neck and bridge positions, which deliver the authentic Les Paul sound with assertive mids and plenty of low-end. In terms of hardware, Epiphone naturally features an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge with a Historic aluminium tailpiece, as well as Epiphone’s own ‘Deluxe’ tuners with white Keystone buttons. The electric guitar also comes with a matching hardshell case for safe transport!
