The heart of every performance: the Fame Hybrid Pro XT sound module. This module offers an unprecedented depth of sound and flexibility. With over 500 multi-layer sounds covering all styles and 100 fully customizable kits, including 80 presets and 20 user slots, every performance is unique. The Ultra-Speed Trigger Interface guarantees lightning-fast and precise transmission of every nuance. The sound editor software opens up unlimited creative possibilities by allowing you to load your own samples directly onto the removable 32 GB memory card on the side. The open sound architecture and the included add-on packages, which contain additional cymbal, e-drum and handpan sounds, invite you to experiment and discover. With features such as in-ear monitoring, backing track player, WAV song player and metronome, play-alongs and creative Loops playing are a breeze. Assigning start/stop/pause/tap functions to pads provides additional control during performance. The Fame Hybrid Pro XT sound module is more than an e-drum module - it's an extension of creative expression, without compromise.

The Fame Hybrid PRO XT sounds at a glance: Simon Phillips

Simon Phillips developed some of the sounds. They are absolutely realistic high-end sounds that were recorded for us in Simon Phillips' studio. He is one of the most legendary drummers in the world. With his unmistakable style, he has influenced entire generations of drummers, including TOTO.

The 32 GB sound module contains hundreds of Simon Phillips multi-layer sounds made up of a total of 12,500 individual samples.

Simon Phillips recorded his drum sets in the recording studio in Los Angeles and optimised them specifically for the Hybrid PRO XT module together with our development department. The drum and cymbal sounds were recorded for a wide variety of styles with elaborate multi-miking and at several microphone distances.

A significant further development: Fame Hybrid Pro XT

The new module marks a significant advance on its predecessor and offers a number of advantages. First of all, it impresses with its robust workmanship, which promises greater durability and reliability. Instead of a single data controller, the module now has three, which makes control quick and easy. An enlarged display facilitates navigation and improves clarity, while the integration of app control ensures modern and user-friendly operation. Another significant advantage is the increased memory capacity of 32 GB compared to the previous 4 GB, together with the ability to remove an SD card from the side without having to open the device. This increases flexibility and convenience in use. Furthermore, the module offers five additional inputs for triggers and pads instead of just one, which significantly expands the connection options. Finally, six direct outs instead of the previous four allow for a more comprehensive and detailed audio output, which is particularly beneficial in live and studio settings. Like its predecessor, the XT is available in two versions: matt and chrome.

Intuitive operation with a revised user interface

The module is operated in a simple and structured manner via five menu items(MIXERUNIT/PROGRAM/CHANNEL/SOUND/SPECIAL) with different sections. The Display is divided into six sections, which are controlled using the knob and three push buttons. In clearly structured menu items, each required parameter can be set as desired, and the overall volume can be adjusted via a LEVEL control, which can be disconnected if required and then only controls the headphones, for example.

In contrast to its predecessor, the Hybrid Pro XT does not have one data control under the Display, but three. This makes operation considerably easier, as each parameter has its own control in the lower half.

Open sound architecture with PC/MAC software editor

The unique open sound concept of the Fame Hybrid Pro XT module is a sensational solution for anyone who wants to sample their own sounds. Thanks to the conventional SD card, which can be removed from the side, samples, Loops and entire songs can be dragged onto the module, which can then be called up immediately.

All settings, such as Kits, sounds, presets and triggers can be organised and arranged on the PC/MAC. Your own kits can be easily loaded with sounds and songs using the free software editor, allowing you to create a kit list to match the setlist at the concert, which can then be called up in sequence. If required, the software editor can be used to create multi-layer sounds with 127 velocity levels from your own sounds. An excellent multi-layer sound can be created from any WAV file, e.g. studio recordings of your acoustic drum set.

Hybrid Pro module with remote app and tablet holder

The XT version of the Fame Hybrid Pro offers a practical tablet mounting function that is compatible with every conventional model. This is particularly useful in combination with the new remote app. This controls the module in real time via a USB connection and allows useful changes such as volume, balance, gain and function. The app has two central levels that are essential for fine-tuning the e-drum sound: Mixer and Channels. On the mixer level, you can adjust the volume of the individual channels and adjust the balance between the different sounds. In addition, the BPM of the metronome can be adjusted for the selected kit and the stored song (if available) can be started. The Channels level contains an extensive mixer. Each channel stands for a specific pad of the Hybrid Pro XT e-drum set, such as snare, Bassdrum or hi-hat. The module also has five additional perc channels, which are controlled via the rim channels of the four Toms and the snare. In addition to the volume, important parameters such as gain, attack, hold etc. can be adjusted directly and continuously. These two levels work hand in hand to enable quick and clear control of the individual e-drum sound.

Please note that the Hybrid App is currently only available in an iOS version for the iPad; an Android version will follow shortly.

The Fame Hybrid Pro XT sets new standards in digital drumming - and now it's even more convenient! With the brand new remote app for iPad, you can control the module in real time and make all important adjustments effortlessly. The Fame Hybrid Pro XT Remote App offers two central control levels - Mixer and Channels - for detailed sound customisation:

Mixer Control: eight fader groups to customise drum channel volumes. Control effects, line-in signals and the metronome or song player level to suit the respective kit.
Channel Adjustments: Detailed mixer settings for each individual drum pad. Precisely adjust volume, gain, attack, hold and Decay to shape the perfect sound.
Functions for pads & triggers: Assign functions such as Start, Stop, Pause Playback, Next Kit or Previous Kit to drum pads or triggers. With the tapping function, you can set the tempo manually by hitting a pad.
Sound shaping: Use the attack parameter to define how quickly the sound reaches its full volume. The hold and decay settings allow precise control over Sustain and fade to create both natural and synthetic sounds.

Exclusive new sounds from in-house production

The Hybrid Pro XT comes with exclusive new sounds from an elaborate sampling session of a Yamaha Recording Custom Drums in the Scherenmuseum in Solingen. The extraordinary acoustics of the room were captured by using two pairs of stereo microphones in addition to the overhead microphones and a mono microphone in front of the drum set. External reverb was also used for the metal kit, while only the natural reverb of the recorded room can be heard for all other sounds.

The available drum kits include:

Rock Dry: Direct microphones combined with overhead microphones
Rock Room: Additionally with 'Room near Stereo' for a spatial sound characteristic
Rock Stage: Extended and 'Room far Stereo' for an even more spatial sound
Raw Kit: All microphones are used, little EQ, slight harmonic distortion, use of a compressor
Studio Dry: Direct microphones and overheads, very clear and dry in sound
Modern Metal: An intense soundscape

Two snare variants are available for all kits: a deep snare and a gong tom. The metal kit also contains alternative Kick sounds. In addition to the drum kits, new Cymbal sounds have been integrated, based on a recorded Sabian AAX Studio set.

Now available in your Fame Hybrid Pro module: MJ Add-On Pack Part 2

As a Fame Hybrid Pro XT customer, you can now benefit from exclusive, professionally recorded drum sounds from the MJ Part2 add-on package, available for download. We have recorded an impressive DW Collectors drum set and a set of Paiste 2002 cymbals with the highest precision. In addition, two more DW snares were sampled and different kick heads were tested to create a versatile sound palette. The presets therefore contain several snare and kick sounds for maximum flexibility. To make the sounds as realistic and powerful as possible, first-class microphones, Preamps and converters were used. In addition to several direct microphones on the snare and Kick, two overheads, two room-near microphones and - depending on Preset - two room-far microphones were also used. This creates a dynamic depth of sound that is perfect for both natural-sounding drums and punchy, ready-to-mix sounds. All samples were recorded with the highest level of detail and processed in a professional studio. Thanks to the multi-mic process and up to 90 velocity levels per sound, you will experience a realistic playing feel with fine sound nuances. The 44.1 kHz / 24-bit recording quality guarantees crystal-clear, powerful drum sounds that can be integrated directly into Mix.

This elaborate recording process has resulted in several impressive kits that not only inspire, but also offer almost unlimited creative possibilities thanks to their versatility. Whether you prefer classic, modern or particularly spatial drum sounds - this Library will take your hybrid drumming to the next level!

All inclusive: All sound add-ons from the Hybrid Pro family

Numerous add-on packages have now been released with additional sounds and samples that are already available on the Fame Hybrid Pro XT from the factory. These are authentic and modern cymbal and drum sounds that we commissioned from a professional recording studio. Renowned microphones, Preamps and converters were used to guarantee a high-quality sound experience. Of course, these are high-resolution multi-layer samples with 44.1 kHz and 24 bit, which were constructed from numerous individual samples; the hihat sounds, for example, consist of over 260 individual samples.

All sounds were recorded using the multi-mic method, six microphones were used for each file. For the Cymbal sounds, a Zildjian K' Custom Dark Set, a Meinl Pure Alloy Cymbal Set, a Sabian AAX Set, as well as some Meinl Stacks and a whole series of Meinl Byzance were sampled.

Exclusive handpan sounds and loops

The module contains authentic and relaxing handpan sounds with matching loops, which were commissioned by us in a professional recording studio. Up to ten Velocity levels (layers) per sound are available, creating an extremely realistic playing experience. In post-production, six impressive kits have been created, which stimulate creativity and offer numerous design options in combination with the modern loops. The Handpan Add-On Package contains a total of 74 loops, consisting of handpan patterns, shakers and drum sounds. There are also numerous basic drum beats and percussion patterns in different versions and sound variations. Many of the Loops are offered in three different tempos: 80 bpm, 90 bpm, 100 bpm. Fame even includes some beats in the popular 6/4 time signature. Multi-layer means that each instrument is recorded at different volume levels. This means that not only the volume but also the sound and frequency change with different beat intensities. Some of the Fame sounds consist of up to 127 individual layers.

Backing track player on board

With the sound module, playing backing tracks is child's play. Simply transfer your favorite playbacks, samples or Loops in CD quality (stereo, 16 bit/44.1 kHz) to the SD card and assign them directly to a kit. hether you want to simulate a band accompaniment or start a loop or backing track, a tap on a pad is enough to control start, stop or pause. Assigning one of these functions to a pad is child's play via the app directly on the tablet. This brings a professional dynamic to solo performances or live gigs with the band.

Metronome of the next Generation in the Hybrid Pro XT

Whether for meticulous practicing or as an indispensable companion on stage, the integrated metronome sets new standards. You can save a customized metronome for each kit, complete with your preferred time signatures, accents and sounds.

Even better, you can use it as a clever count-in that switches itself off after one or two bars. This way, the introduction remains precise without the metronome still ringing in your ears afterwards.

Realistic sound profile with professional studio sounds

In addition to the impressive multi-layer samples, the Fame Hybrid Pro XT is characterized by another feature that contributes significantly to its ultra-realistic sound profile: The sounds output vary minimally depending on velocity and playing style. This fine-tuning prevents the so-called "machine gun" effect, which gives some electronic drum sets an unnatural sound. Instead, the Hybrid Pro XT offers impressive naturalness with professional studio-quality sounds.

When a pad is struck repeatedly, a slightly different sample with a unique sound profile is played each time. This sophisticated technology clearly sets the Hybrid Pro XT apart from other sets in its price range.

For comparison: While the Fame DD-ONE XT is already impressive, the Hybrid Pro XT offers up to 100 more layers per sound for some sounds, which underlines its extraordinary depth and variety of sound.

Three-zone ride cymbal and first-class sounds on board

The cymbal pads of the Hybrid Pro XT set take the drum experience to a new level with their excellent response and a playing feel that offers the perfect rebound. The 12-inch ride pad in particular , equipped with three separate zones for bell, bow and rim, enables a multi-faceted sound design that is in no way inferior to acoustic cymbals. The crash pads, also in 12 inch, not only offer first-class sounds captured in studio quality by our development team, but also the flexibility to assign each zone individually. On board are multi-layer cymbal sounds created with cymbal sets from Meinl, Sabian and Zildjian .

Apart from the outstanding sound quality, the cymbal pads of the Fame score points with their quiet playing style, which makes it possible to practice at home at any time of day without disturbing roommates or neighbors. The robust and flexible mounting of the cymbals on their holders not only guarantees safety while playing, but also easy adaptation to any individual set-up preference.

Realistic hi-hat pad on a real stand: dual-zone hi-hat with HH-9000 stand in the Hybrid Pro XT

The impressive 12-inch hi-hat pad of the Hybrid Pro XT is mounted on the professional stand Fame HH-9000, which has been popular for years for its outstanding stability and excellent running properties. Manufactured in Taiwan, the HH-9000 features three double-braced legs and large rubber feet that provide a secure stand on practically any surface. The height of the hi-hat pad can be adjusted between 78 and 100 cm for perfect playability, while the spring tension can be infinitely adjusted for optimum kick resistance control.

The functionality of the hi-hat pad in the Hybrid Pro XT simulates an acoustic Set down to the last detail: the hi-hat can be opened and closed using the foot pedal, with the sensor under the pad precisely detecting the degree of opening. This ensures a fluid playing feel that is in no way inferior to that of an acoustic drum kit. The pad itself offers two playing zones - edge and surface - and the module delivers a wide range of multi-layer sounds for a perfect studio sound.

12-inch dual snare and 12-inch Kick for professional drummers in the Hybrid Pro XT

The Fame Hybrid Pro XT E-Drum Set impresses with a 12-inch snare (stereo) and a 12-inch kick pad, whereby an additional pad or trigger can be connected to the snare pad when the rim is not in use. A special feature of the Hybrid Pro XT is its compatibility with pads from other leading manufacturers such as Roland, Yamaha and 2Box, which greatly expands the range of applications. The four 10-inch tom pads are the same size as an acoustic drum kit, allowing for easy integration without the need to adjust motion sequences. The high-quality Fame mesh heads offer the decisive advantage of virtually silent playing. They also allow traditional tensioning and loosening by means of a tuning key, allowing the Hybrid Pro XT to be perfectly adjusted to individual playing styles and the desired rebound.

In contrast to its predecessor, an additional pad or trigger (mono) can be connected to each of the four tom pads using a Y-cable, in which case the rim channel is no longer required.

Practical and professional: Fame E-Drum with snare stand

The Fame Hybrid Pro XT E-Drum Set offers two practical options for mounting the snare pad: In addition to the option of attaching the snare directly to the rack with a pad holder included in the scope of delivery - which enables a space-saving and practical setup of the drum kit - it is recommended for those who want to exploit the full potential of the snare pad to mount the snare on the included Fame snare stand SDS8000. This option offers a much better grip, even when playing very energetically. While there is a risk of the pad coming loose and shifting with particularly hard hits on the rack, it remains securely in position on the Fame SDS8000 snare stand.

The sensitivity and realistic response of the snare on the Fame SDS8000 snare stand are outstanding, as the pad delivers optimum performance thanks to the decoupling from the rack vibrations.
