While the streamlined alder body and the slim JS neck made of maple promise extremely smooth playing characteristics, a DiMarzio DP151 PAF Pro and DP273 Satchur8 pickup provide amazingly versatile guitar sounds. As an instrument for experienced technicians, the Joe Satriani JS3CR from Ibanez naturally comes with an Edge Double-Locking Tremolo for detuning-free whammy bar actions.

As a Joe Satriani Signature guitar, the Ibanez JS3CR offers carefully selected tonewoods and excellent playing characteristics that are well suited to even the most accomplished playing techniques of modern rock and metal. Beneath the shiny chrome Finish, the JS3 electric guitar conceals an alder body with an ergonomic shape that promises easy handling with a good balance both on the strap and on the thigh. Thanks to the slim JS profile, the bolt-on maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, making every solo and riff a breeze on the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.

Flexible guitar sounds

With its flexible pickup setup and sophisticated circuitry, the Ibanez JS3CR elicits a wide range of timbres from the guitar amplifier for virtuoso rock solos, punchy riffs and clean picking. The present Attack and the warm mid-range spectrum of the DiMarzio DP273 Satchur8 bridge humbucker specially developed for Joe Satriani create the basis for particularly assertive distortion sounds that can be shaped via the touch. In the neck position, on the other hand, the DiMarzio DP151 PAF Pro humbucker combines the boundary between traditional PAF and the assertiveness of modern humbuckers. The sophisticated passive electrics of the Ibanez JS3 electric guitar rely on two push/pull switches located in the volume and tone controls, which can be used to elicit additional sound options from both pickups. By pulling the tone control, the double coil can be split into a brilliant single coil, while the push/pull switch in the volume control activates a high-pass filter that gives the sound increased definition.
