For the construction of the RG8570-RBS Royal Blue Sapphire, only carefully selected woods are used, which promise an elegant look and first-class sound characteristics. Accordingly, the African mahogany body is fitted with a curly maple top in premium AAA quality, while maple and wenge as well as an ebony fingerboard are used for the bolt-on neck. In combination with the flowing all-access neck joint, the extremely flat "j.custom Super Wizard" neck profile guarantees optimum playing characteristics right up to the highest registers.

The DiMarzio The Tone Zone humbucker on the bridge impresses with a dynamic and powerful sound whose harmonic depth brings riffs and solos to life, while the DiMarzio Air Norton on the neck offers a warm yet transparent sound for fluid soloing and sparkling clean sounds. The DiMarzio True Velvet single coil in the middle position also contributes silky single-coil sounds with lively dynamics and high transparency. The pickup is controlled using a flexible 5-way circuit and general volume and tone controls.
