With the design of the Jackson JS32Q Dinky DKA Transparent Black Burst, Jackson adheres to the classic specifications for a metal guitar, crafting the body from poplar with an onlaid curly maple top, whilst the bolt-on neck is made of maple and features an amaranth fingerboard. Consequently, the Jackson Dinky boasts a powerful, rich fundamental tone with a fast attack, which is perfect for riffs and solos. Furthermore, the neck, with its fast ‘Speed Neck’ profile and compound radius, offers unhindered playability, allowing complex chords and riffs to flow just as effortlessly from your fingers as fast solos.
The Jackson JS32Q Dinky DKA’s electrical signal conversion is handled by two Jackson High Output Humbuckers, which deliver a thoroughly impressive, powerful sound. These pickups really show their mettle, particularly in the distortion channel, delivering riffs and solos with tight precision and an assertive mid-range that pushes every note through the band’s sound, even with drop tunings. But the pickups also impress when played through a clean amp, where they deliver melodies and chords with harmonious string separation and crystal-clear articulation.
Last but not least, the Jackson JS32Q Dinky DKA HT Transparent Black Burst is fitted with a Jackson HT6 hardtail bridge, which, thanks to its solid construction, ensures direct resonance transfer into the body and lends the tone additional attack for tight and percussive riffing. Furthermore, precision Jackson die-cast tuners on the headstock ensure accurate tuning and smooth string changes.

I was after a guitar with high output pickups to record some metal riffs, and was looking at Ibanez RG/RGA/S series, but the Jackson seemed to offer a similar package for less money so ordered the JS32Q HT Dinky.
Pros:
- Well made
- The maple top looks good and makes this guitar look like a high end one.
- Light weight = can play standing for long hours without any shoulder/back pain
- Stock Jackson pickups are surprisingly good, clear and tight.
- Stays in tune well
- Hard tail is much easier to live with than a cheap floyd rose
Cons:
- The stock tuners are a bit flimsy and lack accuracy but they hold tuning well.
- Factory strings are absolute rubbish.
All in all for 266€ this is a very good guitar and does the job perfectly!
