The Black Beauty Snare Drum LB417 is a 14" x 6.5" powerhouse with a brass shell. Equipped with the Supra-Phonic snare lift, it responds with exceptional sensitivity and covers an enormously wide dynamic range. Further features, such as the carefully forged, triple-flanged steel snare wires and Imperial lugs, round off the Black Beauty Snare Drums’ appearance both visually and sonically, making them the snare drums of choice for professionals.
These black beauties are crafted from a single sheet of brass, which is formed into a seamless shell with a flange and then given a nickel coating using a special process. The shell features a snare bed for optimum snare wire contact and sound projection . This model is fitted with the Supra-Phonic snare lift, though the Black Beauty snare drum is also available with the Super-Sensitive System (LB418/LB419).
The Black Beauty snares offer an extremely responsive attack across all volume ranges and a phenomenally full and dry sound. With plenty of warmth and metallic overtones, they are the perfect addition to any setup.
