The Pearl RSJ465C Roadshow Junior Set Grindstone Sparkle is a complete drum kit for children, including cymbals and hardware. What makes the Roadshow Junior special is that the craftsmanship – from the shells to the hardware and heads – is professional; this is not a toy, but a genuine instrument. The five-piece drum set is constructed from six plies of poplar; this wood delivers a balanced and warm sound. Furthermore, all drums are neatly bevelled at a 45° angle, ensuring the heads sit perfectly and offering optimal tunability. The included hardware, including a stool, is stable and offers flexible adjustment options; the bass drum pedal is fitted with a robust chain drive. A cymbal set, comprising a 13” crash cymbal and a 10” hi-hat, offers an optimal playing feel and precise response.

Poplar drum shells: Pearl Roadshow JR

The drum shells on the Pearl Roadshow are made from 100% poplar wood. The six glued layers of wood are bevelled at a 45° angle on both sides, ensuring ideal head support and making this children’s drum kit easy to tune, thanks also to the Dual-Point Cast Tuning Lugs. The foil finish and the understated Pearl badges complete the overall look. The bass drum head is pre-damped, resulting in a shorter, more focused sound. The heads on the other drums are also perfect for beginners, delivering a consistent sound right from the start. At the heart of the Pearl drum kit is the 12”x4” snare drum, which features the same specifications as the popular Pearl Short Fuse snare. The set comprises: a 16"x10" bass drum, 8"x5" and 10"x5.5" tom-toms, a 13"x8" floor tom and the 12"x4" snare.
