Rode NTG5 Kit

The Rode NTG5 Kit is a professional recording set including a cardioid microphone and various accessories for day-to-day work on set, in the studio or on the go. Ideally suited for broadcast applications, the NTG5 microphone boasts a maximum sound pressure level of 130 dB, an inherent noise level of just 10 dBA and a sensationally high sensitivity of 66 mV. This means that virtually all sound sources can be captured in the highest broadcast quality, whilst guaranteeing a fantastically transparent and completely uncoloured sound.

Thanks to RF technology and state-of-the-art, vacuum-sealed electronics (conformal coating), the NTG5 is also extremely weather-resistant and virtually immune to interference – making it perfect and indispensable for outdoor recordings.

Weighing just 76g and measuring 20cm in length, the NTG5 – crafted from high-quality aluminium – is an ideal boom microphone. Although compact, it also boasts exceptionally high directivity, which is further enhanced by the included foam windscreen.

To round off the package, a range of accessories is included: firstly, the PG2-R pistol grip with its Rycote double-lyre mount and the PG2-R Pro cable. This ensures the microphone is optimally decoupled, whilst unwanted structure-borne noise or mechanical interference transmitted via the connection cable is no longer an issue. The base features a 3/8" thread for mounting the NTG5, complete with the PG2-R, on a boom pole; alternatively, the RM5 microphone clamp, which is also included, can be used. It also comes with a deluxe fur windscreen (WS10), which allows for interference-free operation in wind speeds up to force 5, as well as a ZP1 carrying case.
