The Seymour Duncan SP90-1b Vintage P90 Bridge Black embodies the traditional P90, as it was manufactured again from 1946 onwards and used on iconic hollow-body guitars. Um To revive this classic soapbar-style pickup as authentically as possible, Seymour Duncan relies on historically accurate materials and tools. The coil of the SP90-1 Vintage P90 is wound with enamelled wire on Seymour’s historic Leesona winding machine, um which, in combination with an Alnico V magnet, skilfully recreates the characteristically powerful sparkle in the upper mid-range and the overtone-rich treble spectrum of the original.
