Thomastik CF128 Classic Superlona Flat WoundThe clear strings sound like any quality nylon string, but the wound strings are much darker sounding. I play folk and they suit the genre perfectly, excellent for Travis picking. Jazz players would love them for the flatwound feel. I probably wouldn't use them for classical, and definitely not for latin and pop.
The wound strings are much stiffer than usual classical strings, I had a hard time putting them on. And I couldn't figure out what the hook at the end of each string is for.
