The Tiptop Audio Model 292t Quad Lopass Gate at a glance

TipTop Audio has realised a completely Eurorack-compatible version of the quad lowpass gate (Quad LPG) in collaboration with Buchla. The module consists of four identical units that can operate as either a lowpass filter, VCA or lowpass gate. The latter is also abbreviated LPG and is a special combination of VCF and VCA; this function is primarily used for the famous ‘Buchla Bongos’, which have a convincing wooden and organic character. Each channel has an audio input and output as well as a control voltage input. The all-output is used to summarise all signals from the module. To comply with EU regulations, TipTop Audio has developed a RoHS-compliant circuit without vactrol components.
