Yamaha SLB-300 Silent Bass

The Yamaha SLB-300 Silent Bass takes the Japanese manufacturer’s popular electric double bass model to a whole new level. Thanks to its SRT Powered System technology, this compact and easily transportable double bass produces full-range, resonant sounds, whilst the redesigned body design with a resonance chamber lends the SLB-300’s sound the depth characteristic of acoustic basses. Three different microphone types are available within the electronics, which can be used to give the Silent Bass either a classic vintage character, clear and defined tones, or additional warmth in the low end, and can be blended into the pickup signal via the blend control. In terms of feel, the SLB-300’s subtle frame construction strikes the ideal balance between portability and the playing feel of classic acoustic double basses.
