This is an excellent starter instrument for both young children and adults. Children can learn the skills of basic flute playing with this fife, which is cheap to buy, unbreakable and makes a nice sound. Adults can also enjoy playing one to play along with their children and they might also prefer this cheap option if wanting to learn how to play a flute and unsure whether a flute will be the right instrument for them. It has a range of 2 octaves in C major, though with a bit of skill it is possible to add some accidentals using half holes and cross fingerings.
