The YTR-9335 CHS 05 Bb trumpet from Yamaha was developed in collaboration with solo trumpeter John Hagstrom of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
This trumpet has all the important characteristics that a professional musician demands from his instrument. A centered response, the best intonation over the entire range, the best tonal development across all dynamic levels. Developed for the classical trumpeter, it is also highly regarded by jazz musicians.
The concept of the YTR-9335 CHS 05 is well thought out. The one-piece brass bell with "French bead" gives the player good feedback. The wall thickness of the bell becomes thinner towards the edge, allowing the sound to fully unfold. Bob Malone has been working with Yamaha for many decades and also developed the leadpipe for the YTR-9335 CHS 05. The MB1 Malone leadpipe provides the right resistance and clean intonation. Monel has established itself in valve construction and is also used for Yamaha trumpets. Fast runs on the instrument and long durability of the valves are unproblematic thanks to the monel valves. The silver plating not only looks good, but also ensures that the surface lasts for a long time. The scope of delivery includes a compact double case for two trumpets, a 17B4 Yamaha trumpet mouthpiece and accessories.
