Red Hill CF-720 Mini

Für die Größe hat die Gitarre einen vollen, angenehmen und warmen Klang, der mir persönlich sehr gut gefällt. Da bin ich in dem Preissegment sehr erstaunt. Im Vergleich zur etwas kleineren Red Hill Dreadnought Mini klingt sie viel voluminöser und runder.

Auch die Optik und Verarbeitung finde ich prima. Einziges Manko ist für mich der Tonabnehmer. Der Klang ist sehr höhlenlastig und unglaublich leise. Hebt man bei dem Signal den Equalizier im Bass und Mittenbereich stark an, ist der Klang an sich in Ordnung. Allerdings muss das Signal so drastisch verstärkt werden, dass Rauschen unvermeidbar ist.

Firstly the shipping was super fast, especially considering coronavirus! On paper this guitar looked great! With the spruce top and mahogany sides It sounded great on the spec list and the pictures looked good too. However I was pretty disappointed for a few reasons. Firstly the guitar had a large crack in the spruce top straight from the box (which I will ask for a refund for), which was a massive disappointment. The nut was also damaged and had some marks on it too, aswell cheap glue on the wood joins. Yes this is a chinese made guitar for a very reasonable price, however I expected better from quality control.

Out of curiosity I did still play a few chords on the guitar and it sounded not too bad, however lacked volume and clarity, again you can't expect a Taylor sound from this little guy, but still would have liked it a bit punchier. Also especially being a travel guitar, a padded case would be a great inclusion.

All in all, if there wasn't a crack from the box, this would be a great little 3/4 guitar for travel!
