With the Profiler PowerRack MK 2, Kemper presents the new generation of its acclaimed amp modeller in a practical 19" rack format. The updated version remains visually true to its legendary predecessor but introduces numerous innovations tailored to the needs of studios, stages, and demanding producers. Equipped with a powerful 600-watt Class-D power amplifier, the Profiler PowerRack MK 2 is the ideal choice for rehearsal rooms and live performances, perfectly suited for driving passive cabinets. In addition to noticeably improved performance, the new model offers an expanded effects section, enhanced routing options, faster preset switching, and a built-in eight-channel USB audio interface for multitrack recording and re-amping. Compact yet comprehensive, the PowerRack MK 2 is a complete all-round solution for any professional rack setup.
At the heart of the MK 2 series lies a significantly expanded effects section. With a total of 20 effect blocks—seven of which are brand-new—the Profiler PowerRack MK 2 provides enormous creative freedom for complex signal chains. New additions include a second Noise Gate, a Compressor, Wah-Wah, Vintage Chorus, Air Chorus, and a Double Tracker. All effects can be placed in any order and precisely adjusted via dedicated buttons and screen controls. The integrated looper has also been upgraded, now offering up to two minutes of recording time, perfect for layering parts, developing song ideas, or improvising live.
Another major innovation is the built-in eight-channel USB audio interface, allowing seamless multitrack recording, re-amping, and direct integration into any DAW. At the same time, Kemper introduces its groundbreaking Liquid Profiling technology, capturing more than 100,000 frequency points per profile. This next-generation profiling process delivers an even more detailed and realistic representation of the original amplifier, accurately reproducing both its gain structure and tone behaviour. It’s a new milestone in the evolution of digital amp modelling.
Alongside its enhanced performance such as a dramatically reduced boot time of around 20 seconds the Profiler PowerRack MK 2 offers faster navigation and smoother workflow, especially when switching presets or operating in Performance Mode. The user interface remains familiar, with numerous direct-access knobs and buttons for intuitive, hands-on operation. Housed in a sturdy 19" rack chassis, the PowerRack MK 2 is built for the road yet perfectly suited to studio use, offering reliability, flexibility, and pristine sound quality in one professional package.
