Tweeter and midrange driver as a coaxial loudspeaker

The Kali Audio IN-5 is a further development of the LP Series 2-way monitors and is available as a 3-way monitor with a bass reflex port and a high-output woofer. Instead of a conventional tweeter, the IN-5 features a combined high-and mid-range driver (1"/4"), integrated into a coaxial loudspeaker.

Harmonious and distortion-free

Thanks to the coaxial design, the midrange driver can relieve the load on the tweeter and woofer without causing phase alignment issues. This allows the IN-5 to operate more harmoniously and with less distortion than standard 2-way systems.

Depth and localisation

The crossover frequency of the coaxial tweeter-midrange driver is 280 Hz, ensuring that the IN-5 acts as an acoustic point source. There is no phase cancellation whatsoever on the vertical axis. The dispersion pattern is uniform across the entire frequency response, thereby contributing to detailed depth separation and localisation. The stereo image also benefits from this coaxial design.
