The Miditech MIDI Thru 4/Filter is a MIDI powered MIDI Thru Box featuring 1 MIDI in to 4 MIDI out, multiple filter funtions, channel mapping, transposer, program changer, and controller filter. This MIDI Thru Box is also programmable with the keyboard and DIP switches, or Windows PC editor software.

It is not as described either in the German or the English spec. I bought it as a thru box, which it does fine, but mainly as a transposer, which it also does, but not according to spec which says +/- 2 octaves. Actually it does +/- 1 octave i.e. 2 octaves, only not quite i.e. it drops or raises 11 semitones. I contacted the manufacturer and supplier before purchase but got no reply so I took the spec at face value. I have contacted the supplier since and got no reply again. So, I could send it back, but it works OK as a thru box, Can't say I'm impressed with anyone or anything, however,
My keyboard was spitting out "Active Sense" midi messages that were confusing my rack synth. With a flip of a DIP switch this box filters them out. The only other box I've seen that can do it is about twice the price. The extra Thru ports are also a massive bonus.
