MOOG Subsequent 37 is a monophonic analog synthesizer with 2 oscillators, 256 storable presets, 37-key keyboard. It is a redesign of the powerful Sub 37 Tribute Edition with a revised sound engine. A keyboard upgrade allows for even better playability and the design has also been revised. The Subsequent 37 features a sturdy construction made of steel and aluminum elements as well as two aluminum side panels with real wood inlays that bear the typical MOOG signature and underline their craftsmanship.
A great feature of the Subsequent 37 was the sound-strong multidrive, which enabled the targeted control of saturation effects in the filter section. In the Subsequent 37, this ingenious feature has been improved once again and now offers even more drive. The entire signal path has also received additional headroom.
The velocity- and aftertouch-sensitive keyboard's stroke behavior has also been further improved.
The aluminum case and the side panels with real wood inlays make the Subsequent 37 a noble eye-catcher. Not only the design appeals to demanding synthesizer lovers, but also the workmanship of the robust housing makes the Subsequent 37 a noble synthesizer.
Moog Subsequent 37Prise this synth from my dead hands. It's a keeper. I never intended to get a Subsequent. I ordered a Sirin for about half the price of the Sub. After several months of waiting for it to come in stock, I ditched the potential Sirin in favour of a Subsequent. It's a modern classic. Compact, functionally comprehensive. BIG sound. Remarkably flexible. Excellent DAW compatibility. I literally want to design sounds on it every time I spot it out of the corner of my eye. I can't imagine being able to justify getting another monophonic with this bad boy sitting in my studio.
I'll admit, I thought this couldn't get any better when I bought the thing. But ever since I received it Ive been constantly working with it and playing around, it's definitely a complicated machine to Learn and to master, but if you are a professional or even a bigenner, this is a great start, you get a lot of synth for the price. Build quality is great and really luxury, feels like a new rolls royce. Soo ill definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to boost their basses and leads and get really experimental with synthesis.
