The PRS SE Mark Holcomb SVN is tailored for modern, deep and technically demanding sounds, combining classic PRS design features with the personal specifications of the Periphery guitarist. The mahogany body features a maple top with a quilted maple veneer, whilst the glued, multi-piece maple neck, with its Wide SVN Thin profile, offers ideal conditions for precise playing and low tunings thanks to an extended 26.5-inch scale length, a flat 20-inch fingerboard radius and 24 frets. Sound is delivered by the two Seymour Duncan Mark Holcomb ‘Scourge’ and ‘Scarlet’ humbuckers, which are controlled via a 3-way blade switch as well as volume and push/pull tone controls. A solid PRS Plate Style string-through bridge, black hardware and PRS-designed tuners complete the specification, which is designed for high tuning stability and direct response, whilst a robust .010–.064 string set provides the ideal conditions straight from the factory for the seven-string standard tuning from low B to E.
