The Yamaha YAS-480 is an Eb alto saxophone based on the successful 475 series. An improvement to the low B–C# connection enables better response in the lower register, as well as a more durable and precise adjustment. Thanks to the newly developed octave mechanism, the Yamaha YAS-480 can be played with both the supplied S-bend and those from the Custom-Z and EX series saxophones. The built-in rocker for the left hand enables the left little finger to operate the keys. Hand-crafted engraving gives this alto saxophone a unique appearance. Its great tonal flexibility, rich tone and exemplary intonation make the Yamaha YAS-480 a superb instrument for both beginners and advanced players.
