Der B.Beat von M-Live ist ein flexibles Abspielgerät für Alleinunterhalter mit eingebautem Digital Mixer und HDMI-Videoausgang. Das Gerät ist auf höchste Zuverlässigkeit hin optimiert. Ein spezieller Live-Mode pusht den Prozessor bis ans Maximum und gewährleistet so einen reibungslosen Ablauf während des Auftritts; dies gelingt zudem durch das sperren von sekundären Vorgängen im Hintergrund. Die Idee hinter B.Beat ist die Vereinfachung der Verwaltung von Backing Tracks und Videos während einer Show. Das Zusammenstellen von Performances und Projekten gestaltet sich erfreulich einfach und kann auch direkt am Gerät erledigt werden. Ein Projekt kann Musik, MIDI-Spuren, Videos und Bilder enthalten und Inhalte sogar an externes Equipment schicken. M-Live B.Beat 128 GB WiFiExcellent machine. Well thought-out thought went into the connection options and features that can be operated and stored on the device itself. It is clear that they listened to musicians to create a device that fits them as well as possible.
Excellent software, stable and for all common platforms. Very well done! However, it could be a bit more user-oriented for non-Italian speakers. If the language is requested during setup, this should also be arranged when starting the software.
In terms of build quality, I expected a bit more sturdiness from the casing, especially for use at live concerts on stage.
As for the price, it is a bit on the high side. The technologies used in the device are fairly standard and not expensive to purchase for industrial production. Consider this: software-wise, this is easy to replicate on a fairly old processor using free and very stable software, even on an old laptop. The added value lies explicitly in the compactness, stability, and onboard capabilities. Memory capacity is on the lean side, although flash memory prices do indeed fluctuate significantly.
Another minor drawback is the mid-range EQ per track; buying a completely new B.Beat just for that is a bit extreme. This could easily be implemented with an OS update, even on the slightly older models. Of course, this is easily explained from a marketing perspective.
All in all, a fine device that does everything you ask. Highly recommended for any backing track user who needs to make quick adjustments to the show between sets.
