The Seymour Duncan Vise Grip Compressor is a studio-grade compressor in a small stomp-box format. The Vise Grip has a blend control which allows you to mix your dry signal in with your compressed signal to achieve classic and bold new sounds. A truly versatile compressor, you can use it to retain high end on jangly chords, add upper-end detail when using two-handed tapping techniques or use it to play above the compression threshold to being the natural snap back to individual notes or a riff when you really dig in. It has volume, sustain and attack controls to fine-tune your compression. It can also be used as an insert in studio situations allowing you to compress other instruments such as acoustic guitar, drums, keys or vocals.

Seymour Duncan The Vise Grip Compressor aus der DemoEr klingt gut, ist aber nicht leicht einzustellen, da er auch Nebengeräusche von Pedalen, die nach ihm in der Kette kommen, anhebt. Wenn man eine Kompromissstellung gefunden hat, klingt er auch nicht mehr so prima, wie vorher mit Nebengeräuschen. Nicht schlecht, gut für cleane Sounds geeignet, ansonsten eher schwierig, weil die Einstellmöglichkeiten nicht wirklich ausreichen, das Optimale zwischen Nebengeräuschdröhnung und Spitzennutzsignal einzustellen. Für diese Zwecke macht der Carl Martin Comp/Limiter eine bessere Figur (aber ist genauso schwierig zu justieren).
