The Yamaha Education Suite (Y.E.S) makes learning music fun and easy. It allows you to practice and learn at a level you feel comfortable with. Y.E.S features nine step-by-step lessons for left, right or both hands, letting you easily master a song. Once you have chosen one of the 100 songs to play along to, the playback tempo is continuously adjusted to match your performance. A feature called "Keys of Success" allows you to practice preset songs using more advanced lesson functions. With Step By Step you can practice single parts of the selected song, allowing you to master it a section at a time.

The PSR-E253 features AWM stereo sampling, making for realistic voices. Various digital effects can be used to add dynamics and a bit of fun to your playing. A master EQ allows you to key and modify your perfect sound. Yamaha's proprietary digital signal processing technology makes for an ultra wide stereo sound. This ultra wide stereo sound is played through two, 12 cm speakers. A single headphones output is handy for those late night practicing sessions, and an Aux line input allows you to play along with your favourite songs.
